PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet post-treatment device having such a constitution as to stock the sheets internally in case the transport is not possible owing to a paper jam, without stopping the transportation from an image forming device. SOLUTION: The sheet post-treatment device 2 to subject a sheet fed from the image forming device 1 to such processes as punching, stapling, and folding is equipped with opening mechanisms 10 and 11 capable of opening the transport path to the upstream part located internally, and when the transport is not possible owing to a paper jam, the transportation from the image forming device 1 is not stopped, while the sheets transported are stocked at the transport path opening mechanisms 10 and 11, and a jam treatment is conducted in a lump internally.
