PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillow for a lateral position, when the healthy subject, a person under medical treatment who is confined to bed to wake up and sleep alternately and the bed-ridden elderly watch TV or the like in the lateral position, giving them same acoustic effects on the left and right ears as usually. SOLUTION: This pillow for the lateral position is formed by assembling a pillow top board 2 opened with an auditory hole 21 with a lower grounding part 31 via a height adjusting mechanism 5, and incorporates an inclined echo plate 7 capable of converting an intrusion sound from the horizontal direction to an approximately vertically upward direction, in a part adjacent to immediately beneath the auditory hole 21.
