Remote control for a mobile terminal (200) is provided. A remote control system of a mobile terminal includes a terminal (300) configured to generate a streaming protocol request message (S104) based on a command inputted by a user and to transmit the streaming protocol request message to a mobile terminal (S106). The remote control system also includes the mobile terminal communicatively coupled to the terminal, configured to receive the streaming protocol request message from the terminal, to extract information associated with a keypad input from the streaming protocol request message (S108) and to be controlled by the extracted information associated with a keypad input (S112).
