Method in which a first terminal (200) accesses corresponding identification information stored in a database (104) via an intelligent network (110) when a call is being made. Dependent on the allocation of display information in the database at least one display information item (AI) is stored. When a successful connection is made to a further terminal (300), the stored display information is called up and transmitted to the at least one further terminal. An independent claim is made for a system for provision of personalized display information when a phone call is made between two terminals.
