One aspect of the invention is a forged, integral seal-grip bolt having a head, a tapered neck, a shank, and a plurality of plastically deformable, raised, contact surface portions uniformly positioned adjacent the neck and extendin g axially and radially of the bolt for spreading a load applied to the bolt. Each raised portion has a base portion contiguous the neck, and an elongated, V- shaped, ridge portion raised above the base and adapted to contact and fay with a congruent wall portion of a bolt bore in a support structure. The bolt may have various shapes. The ridges may extend up onto the sides of the head. In another embodiment the ridge portions and base portions are integrally forge d as a pair of symmetrical, self-aligning, inserts separate from, but mating with , opposite sides of the neck when a load is applied to the bolt. A third aspec t of the invention is a doughnut-shaped, repair washer for sealing enlarged holes having a plurality of teeth integral with a flat or curved bottom major surface for gripping a surface which is to be sealed and annular o-ring grooves, one in the top surface near the bore and the other in the bottom surface near the periphery of the body which cooperate with a bolt and fastener to simultaneously seal the bore at the top and bottom surfaces.
