PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand carry type cutting device miniaturized and reduced in weight which remarkably lengthens a service life of a cutting edge of a tool by cooling heat generated at the cutting edge when performing a work such as drilling, and is formed to have the same external shape and weight as an existing one, while it is provided with a cooling mechanism of the cutting edge. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a driving mechanism arranged within a casing and a cutting tool to be rotated by driving the driving mechanism. The driving mechanism is provided with a driving part constituted of an air motor, a speed reduction part for reducing speed of rotation of the air motor, an output shaft for transmitting the rotation reduced in speed to the cutting tool, and a partition wall for partitioning the driving part from the speed reduction part. In the casing, an air feeding passage for leading compressed air to the air motor and a discharge passage for discharging exhaust of the air motor are formed. An air hole passing from a base end to a distal end is formed in the cutting tool. A ventilation part for leading a part of air introduced from the air feeding passage to the speed reduction part is formed in the partition wall. A through hole for leading compressed air passing through the ventilation part to the air hole of the cutting tool is formed in the output shaft. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
