Described is a die cut system for manufacturing tortillas from wheat flour masa, which mainly consists of a masa laminator system including three pairs of rollers with tangential rates, said rates being increased until obtaining a wheat masa curtain. A flexible conveyor belt receives said curtain and transports it to other pair of rollers where the masa is die cut, the leftover mixture and the cutting remain on the same conveyor belt. A second and a third conveyor belt transport the leftovers towards a container located on the first pair of laminator rollers in order to be recycled; the die cut masa, which is circular-shaped and has a predetermined thick due to the action of the third laminator roller results in the tortilla of the present invention. The rate of the curtain formed by the action of the third laminator roller is equal to that of the first flexible conveyor belt and to that of the peripheral tangential rate of the die cut rollers. The rate of the second and third conveyo r belt is slightly higher than that of the first conveyor belt. The oven rate for baking the tortillas is slightly higher than that of the first conveyor belt. The motive power useful for operating the inventive system mainly results from an engine; the rate of said engine is adjusted by an inverse frequency cycle that allows a predetermined linkage of the rates required in each component of the novel system to be carried out by means of a speed reducer. This latter element comprises a pair of pulleys with different diameters and a gear speed reducer. The angular output movement of said reducer is transmitted by means of dented chains and wheels to each motive element such as the laminator rollers, die cut rollers, ballast motive rollers and flexible conveyor belts.
