The fluid circulator has at least one rigid excitable membrane (1) with a central or eccentric orifice (2). The membrane can be circular or elliptical in shape and coated with materials, preferably of titanium, suitable for implanting in an animal or human body, or with materials for the treatment of corrosive fluids. Variants of the design can have a number of membranes connected by rigid spacers, or flanges (4, 5) above/and or below it. The circulator has an actuator powered by an energy source, preferably an electric or electromagnetic motor.
