The method involves establishing an evaluated graph representing a communication network in which each node is a physical equipment. A short path between a transmitter equipment and an equipment within the network is calculated by bringing all non zero values in a graph of the network and by bringing the values equal to 1 by intercalating the nodes between all couple of nodes connected by a line of values greater than 1. An independent claim is also included for a switching and/or routing system.
