<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing color adjustment at low cost and appropriately, when images read by different original read stations are recorded and outputted in an image forming portion. <P>SOLUTION: When ACC (auto color calibration) is performed, a copying apparatus 1 makes a gray-scale transformation table set in an image processing printer γ converting circuit 713 when a gray scale pattern is read, differ from a gray-scale transformation table set in the circuit 713 when an original is read. Accordingly, the quality of images can be enhanced by reducing the unevenness of read values such that the read value differs at each machine due to the change of time of an optical system of a scanner 300, and a machine difference between a photoelectric conversion element of a CCD or the like and a infrared-ray cut filter or the like, and by density-adjusting an output image when outputting image data that are read at the different scanner 300, in conformity to the characteristic of each scanner 300. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
