PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation tool for a lighting device and the lighting device with improved operability of the operation adjusting the size of an irradiation face. SOLUTION: The lighting device has a lamp body 1 having a lens mounted on its opening, a socket part arranged in the lamp body 1 holding a light source, a focus knob 8 rotation freely mounted on a rear face of the lamp body 1, a driving part moving the socket part back and forth in a direction of the optical axis of the light source against the lens in accordance with the rotational operation of the focus knob 8, and the operation tool 11. The operation tool 11 is composed of a mounting part 12 detachment freely mounted on the focus knob 8, and a crank handle 13, to which, a top end part of a lateral rod part 13a at one side is jointed to the back face center of the mounting part 12, and the focus knob 8 can be rotated by rotating a spacer 14 rotatably mounted on the other lateral rod part 13b of the crank handle 13.
