PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can stabilize a posture of a carriage at the time of a recovery operation by eliminating effects caused by spacing adjustment of changing a distance between a recording means and a recording medium on the carriage by a simple and inexpensive configuration. SOLUTION: A first guide part 211 and a second guide part 212 for guiding movement of the carriage 6, and an adjustment member 33 are provided. The adjustment member 33 has a sliding part 333 which contacts slidably to the first guide part and changes the distance between the recording means 3 and the recording medium by changing the posture of the carriage 6. A third guide part 213 is set so as to contact slidably to the carriage 6 at a non recording region and guide the movement of the carriage 6.
