PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a toner production process by which the toner for noncontact fixing, having a round shape and proper fluidity can be produced without increasing the production cost. SOLUTION: In the process of producing a round toner by spraying a wax-pigment mixture by means of a thermal spraying method and solidifying the sprayed mixture by cooling, a metallocene wax, having melt viscosity at 140°C of 50-5,000 mPa s, dripping point of 100-155°C and density of 0.91-0.94 cm<SP>3</SP>/g (a polyolefin wax synthesized with metallocene as catalyst) is used as the wax, the round toner is classified, and coarse particles and minute particles exceeding a predetermined range are recycled.
