PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image scanning and reading apparatus comprising a paper path whereon two scan heads are capable of appropriately scanning image data on both sides of a sheet by page, the scan heads, and input and output trays. SOLUTION: An apparatus which comprises an input tray and an output tray and records images on sheets is provided. A paper path is suitable for passing and moving paper from the input tray to the output tray. A first scan head disposed at a first side in the paper path and a second scan head disposed at a second side on the paper path output digital image data relating to light reflected from an image moving through the heads, respectively.
