PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup which can sufficiently impart a heat radiation effect even to a thin optical disk device and an optical disk device using the optical pickup. SOLUTION: The optical pickup mounted with a laser unit having a laser light source and various optical members in a base has a first heat conduction sheet 17, a second heat conduction sheet 20, an FPC 52, and an FPC cover. The first heat conduction sheet 17 is arranged between a carriage 11 and the FPC 52 and the second heat conduction sheet 20 is arranged between the FPC 52 and the FPC cover.
