PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit with high reliability which can adhere a piezoelectric element 10 and a guide member 20 with a sufficient strength. SOLUTION: The drive unit connects the guide member 20 on the end face of the piezoelectric element 10, and moves the guide member 20 accompanying extension and contraction operation of the piezoelectric element 10. A moving member 30 is friction-coupled on the guide member 20 and the moving member 30 moves on the guide member 20 by performing extension action and contraction action of the piezoelectric element 10 at respective different speeds. The piezoelectric element 10 and the guide member 20 are mutually connected with an adhesive 8 applied on the end face of the piezoelectric element 10 and an outer peripheral side part near to the end face.
