<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a mutation (G1846A mutation) at the 1846th position of a cDNA of a CYP2D6 gene. <P>SOLUTION: A nucleic acid probe is obtained by amplifying a region containing the G1846A mutation according to a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and labeling the terminus with a fluorescent dye. The nucleic acid probe reduces the fluorescence of the fluorescent dye when hybridized. A melting curve analysis is carried out by measuring the fluorescence of the fluorescent dye with the nucleic acid probe having a specific base sequence. Thereby, the mutation is detected on the basis of the results in the melting curve analysis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
