<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an editing system and editing method capable of rapidly performing edition processing associated with objects set with an edition limit. <P>SOLUTION: When a fresh object 208 is added in the case the edition limit to prohibit the arrangement of other object on a front side with respect to the object 209 shown in an edition region 202 can be set, the overlap of only the object 209 set with the edition limit and the added object 208 is detected. In the case the overlap is detected, the added object 208 is arranged at the position 208' on the rear side of the object 209 set with the edition limit.
