<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage cells to avoid dangers that regenerative medicine could pose to a living body. <P>SOLUTION: An IC tag 11 with a wireless communication function and a storage function is attached to each storage container 12 that stores cells. Identification information that matches the cells contained in each storage container 12 is stored in the IC tag 11. Wireless readers 31-38 for wirelessly reading the identification information from the IC tags 11 are positioned at a cell reception point, pass boxes 61, 62, 63 through which the storage containers 12 pass, a safety cabinet 72, an incubator 73 and a storage chamber 24, in all of which the storage containers 12 are installed, and a cell shipping point. A server 44 receives the identification information from the wireless readers 31-38 and registers a history of the reading of the identification information in a database 42.
