PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate method for retrieving a related document between documents registered in a collaboration support system. SOLUTION: A log management section 122 records a reference (browsing) log from each user to a document registered at a storage 150 in the collaboration support system 10 at an operation/response log storage section 164. An index updating section 140 calculates a reference frequency score for indicating a frequency in which each user refers to each document based on the reference log, and creates a reference history index table. A reference history utilization retrieval section 136 of a retrieval processing section 130 obtains a user who has referred to a query specified by the user from the log, obtains the reference frequency score to other documents by each user from the reference history index table, calculates the score of the hit rate of each document based on them, and presents a document having a good hit rate score as a retrieval result.
