PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of improving convenience about information acquisition at a user, even when a video image of a receiving program cannot be displayed. SOLUTION: A CPU displays a message of "Cannot receive" on a screen, when a video image of a receiving program cannot be displayed. Moreover, the CPU extracts a program information from a PSI/SI acquired during reception of the program, and displays a broadcasting station name, a channel number, a program title and the like on the screen. Furthermore, if a URI exists as a browsing destination for a site of the program, a program site button for selection of the URI is displayed. When the program site button is operated by a user, internet connection processing by a PHS data card is performed and an image based on a received file is displayed on a LCD panel 202.
