PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience to a user by providing a mobile terminal itself, such as a mobile telephone set, with a timer function of remotely controlling electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The mobile telephone set stores commands of remote operations using infrared rays for each electrical appliance and sets a sequence of remote control operations of an electrical appliance as an object of timer setting and the time when remote control is started. The mobile telephone set executes the set sequence at the time set in a storage part 303 through calendar processing to transmit infrared rays based upon commands from an infrared transmission part 34.
