PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of carrying out stable feeding of a paper without generating jamming of paper during the feeding of the paper. SOLUTION: A paper guide plate 50 is provided to a rear side openable cover 4 and an auxiliary guide plate 55 is provided to a platen 15, and then a first recording paper 10b is guided by the paper guide plate 50 and the auxiliary guide plate 55. A second recording paper 10c is guided by a projection 50b provided to the paper guide plate 50 and a recess 55b provided to the auxiliary guide plate 55. As a first guide section and a second guide section are disposed to have an angle so as to readily discharge the first recording paper, the first recording paper 10b can be smoothly guided.
