<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heating at the distal end of an insertion tube and effectively emit a white light to a site to be observed. <P>SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus 1A is provided with a light source generating excitation lights of a predetermined wavelength, the insertion tube 6 inserted inside an object to be observed, an optical fiber 3 disposed in the insertion tube 6 and transmitting the excitation lights from the light source, a fluorescent member 7 disposed at the distal end of the insertion tube 6 and including a phosphor receiving the excitation lights and emitting fluorescence L2 with a plurality of wavelengths, and a fluorescence reflecting film 8 disposed between the fluorescent member 7 and the emitting end 3a of the optical fiber 3, transmitting the excitation lights and reflecting the fluorescence L2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
