<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio-controlled timepiece which quickly displays the correct time, when power-saving mode is switched to display mode and resumes time display. <P>SOLUTION: The radio-controlled timepiece comprises receiving means which receives external time data and time display means which corrects and displays the present time on the basis of the external time data. The timepiece further comprises a mode-switching control section 77, which switches the operation mode between the power-saving mode and the time display mode, a time correction data storing section 58 which stores a plurality of times of data of the reception times of the external time data and the time correction amount at that time; an estimated correction amount calculating section 59 which calculates the estimated correction amount using the plurality of data at reception, the plurality of data on the time correction amount, and the time lapsed from the time of previous reception; and an estimated present time display control section 60 which makes the corrected estimated present time displayed by the time display means, when the power-saving mode is switched to the time display mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
