PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive which is reduced in the number components and can efficiently perform an assembling work. SOLUTION: A spindle motor 5 with a turntable 4 is provided in a front part of a chassis 3 made from metal plate and also an optical pickup 6 is arranged in a center hole 3a of the chassis 3 , and end parts of a pair of left/right guide shafts 7A, 7B for movably supporting the optical pickup 6 are engaged with four support members 14-17 on the chassis 3, and torsion coil springs 18 are engaged between the end parts of each of the guide shafts 7A, 7B, and tips of height adjusting screws 10, which are screwed onto screw holes of the chassis 3 against each of the torsion coil springs 18, are pressed onto the end parts of each of the guide shafts 7a, 7B, then the above four support members 14-17 are integrally formed on the chassis 3 by means of lifting up remained uncut parts when the chassis 3 is press-molded and appropriately bending them.
