PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately measure magnetic dimensions of a head without providing any additional device. SOLUTION: A track profile measuring method in a head/disk tester comprising a device for rotating a disk and a device for positioning a head relatively to the disk includes the steps of measuring a signal amplitude of a data track using the head at respective head positions and reading a first servo burst group while changing the position of the head in the radial direction of the disk on the disk on which the data track and the first servo burst group comprised of at least two servo bursts are written in advance, and mapping a result of measuring the signal amplitude in the position of the head obtained from a read value of the corresponding first servo burst group.
