摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle valve control device for an internal combustion engine of favorable control precision in which a high idling speed state can be maintained to enable emergency travel when an actuator has failed while achieving compactness. SOLUTION: A throttle valve shaft is connected to a connecting lever by a spring, and another spring is provided on the connection lever for energizing it toward a default opening position. To a stopper regulating the default position, the connection lever is applied. With this point as the border, the throttle valve shaft is separately rotated in a totally opening direction (or totally closing direction) in one example, while it is rotated with the connection lever in the totally closing direction (or in the totally opening direction). In addition, as the actuator has failed to make a throttle valve held at a safety assurance position (default position), the throttle valve is not rotated even when an acceleration pedal is operated. In this state, fuel injection quantity and ignition timing of fuel are changed to the safety assurance travel mode, and engine output torque (engine speed) is controlled. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
