PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbocharger capable of preventing a bearing from being heated up to such temperature that reliability during actuation is deteriorated. SOLUTION: This turbocharger 1 is provided with a shaft 2 to connect a turbine wheel 3 provided in a turbine housing 6 to an impeller wheel 4, and a bearing device at a middle comprising a bearing and a bearing housing 5 to support the shaft 2 inside. The shaft 2 is provided between the turbine wheel 3 and the bearing device. On the shaft, at least one heat insulation part 16 or 17 is provided. For the heat insulation part, its heat conductivity is lower than the heat conductivity of a shaft part adjoining the heat insulation part, so that transmission of heat through the shaft is prevented.
