PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinker for fishing degradable with time without adversely affecting the natural world. SOLUTION: This sinker for fishing is composed of a sinker part 10 formed by superimposing a plurality of thin sheets 11, 12 and 13 made of iron and each having a hole part formed in the central part thereof, a cylindrical member 20 made of a biodegradable resin and passing through the hole parts in the thin sheets 11, 12 and 13 and a biodegradable resin 30 covering the outer periphery of the sinker part 10. Each of the thin sheets 11, 12 and 13 composing the sinker part 10 is formed by pressing an iron plate having about 1-2 mm thickness thereof into a circular form in a doughnut shape. The surfaces of the thin sheets 11, 12 and 13 are composed so as to directly expose the surface of iron without carrying out plating or coating with the result that the surfaces of the thin sheets can readily be oxidized.
