METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CARBON NANO-STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a carbon nano-structure by which a carbon nano-structure having more uniform shape and high purity is stably manufactured. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the carbon nano-structure is for growing carbon crystal from the crystal growth surface of a catalytic base material containing a catalytic material by vapor phase deposition and particularly≥2 kinds of gases including gaseous starting materials are simultaneously brought into contact with the catalytic base material. The two or more kinds of gases preferably comprise one or more kinds of gaseous starting materials and one or more kinds of carrier gases. It is preferable that the carrier gas is brought into contact with the crystal growth surface and the gaseous starting material is brought into contact with at least one part in a region excluding the crystal growth surface brought into contact with the carrier gas.
