<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive brake hydraulic pressure generator capable of preventing loss by an elastic member of a stroke simulator to an operation force of a braking operation member at an abnormal time of a hydraulic control means. <P>SOLUTION: A stroke simulator SM has the elastic member 50 for applying a stroke corresponding to the operation force of the braking operation member BP to a simulator piston 30. When the relative movement distance from an initial position to an operating rod 20 of an input rod 10 is shorter than a predetermined value, the input rod is connected to the simulator piston through a connection control means (engaging member 40).
