<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of automatically printing digital data in a predetermined file format on a paper sheet having an optimum size, the digital data being received from an information device via infrared data communication. <P>SOLUTION: This printer 1 communicable with an information device 2 via infrared data communication has a paper size table 512 correlating kinds (vCard, vNote, vMessage, and vCalender) of digital data received from the information device 2 by infrared data communication with optimum sizes for printing the digital data (a name card size, an L type, A4 size, and A6 size). The information of an optimum paper size is acquired from the paper size table 512 based on the kind of the digital data, and the paper sheet matched with the paper size information is automatically fed from a multi-cassette and the printing is performed thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
