PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an extension number and an outside number by switching in a telephone apparatus which displays only one telephone number of this device in a display means. SOLUTION: The telephone apparatus has a display means 11 which can display either an extension number applied to this device or an outside number and registration means 12, 7 for registering a telephone number to be displayed in the display means 11, and is provided with the extension number and the outside number. The registration means 12, 7 register the extension number and the outside number, and has a switching key and a control means 7 for switching display of the extension number and display of the outside number when the switching key is operated.
