PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network type video controller capable of accurately controlling a remote device in the case of transmitting a remote control signal by using a network and controlling the device in a remote place. SOLUTION: An encoded video signal and an encoded sound signal are transmitted through the network, a first remote control signal is received through the network, the remote control code of the received first remote control signal is interpreted to output a second remote control signal corresponding to the remote control code, and if the received first remote control signal is a remote control code that is inhibited beforehand from being processed, processing execution by the second remote control signal is suppressed.
