PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the front face filter portion of a plasma display inexpensive. SOLUTION: The device, having a front face filter 21 which is arranged on a front face side of a panel, is disposed with a shielding material on the front face side and is deposed with an antireflection film so as to cover the shielding material, a front face frame 22 which is attached with the front face filter 21 and has a window corresponding to the display region, and a retainer 25 which is attached to the inner side of the front face frame 22 and functions to attach the front face filter 21 to the front face frame 22 by pressing the peripheral part of the front face filter 21. An electrical conducting member 24 which comes into electrical contact with the shielding material of the front face filter 21 is arranged on the inner side of the front face frame 22, and the retainer 25 is provided with a projecting part 25c which comes into electric contact with the electrical conducting member 24 by being attached to the front face frame 22.
