PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the sealing force of a rubber stopper 4 by detecting a load FC after completing rolling and pressing. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, a metal cap 12 is put on a container (vial 2) stoppered with the rubber stopper 4 and a load is applied on the top side 12b of the cap 12 with a pressure block 10 and while the rubber stopper 4 is pressed, the skirt part of the cap 12 (lower end 12c of the cylindrical part 12a) is folded inward with a seaming roll 14 to perform seaming and after that, after releasing the load on the top 12b of the cap once, a lower load FB than a load FA at the seaming is applied again and the load is increased gradually to a higher load and at the same time on the process of increasing the load, a load FC at the displacement of the height of the cap is detected and the load FC is determined as the sealing load after the seaming.
