PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium stirring type dispersing machine such as a bead mill or the like capable of efficiently performing the changeover of the kind of a liquid to be dispersed or the washing of a dispersing chamber in a short time and capable of reduce the amount of a residual mill base to be discarded or the amount to be used of a washing solvent. SOLUTION: The medium stirring type dispersing machine has a mechanism constituted so that the pipes on the inlet and outlet sides of the mill base in the dispersing chamber are closed by valves or the like at the time of takeout work of the residual mill base in the dispersing chamber and compressed air is introduced into the dispersing chamber under pressure from the outlet side of the mill base to take out the residual mill base through the takeout port with a filter provided to the dispersing chamber. When the washing solvent is put in the dispersing chamber to perform washing work after the mill base is taken out, a takeout method due to the introduction of compressed air under pressure can be used even at the time of takeout of the solvent after washing.
