PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative ion generator using carbon fiber with improved efficiency in generating negative ions and improved efficiency in the manufacture as well as antibacterial and sterilization capabilities. SOLUTION: The negative ion generator using carbon fiber comprises active carbon fiber 100 in which metal particles are distributed, an electrode 120 connected to the active carbon fiber 100 for applying the voltage, and a power supply unit 130 for feeding electric power to the electrode 120.
