<p>In an apparatus and a method for partitioning moving picture data, by dividing a DCT coefficient into an even-approximated coefficient and an odd-remainder coefficient, respectively allocating them to a preceding part and a succeeding part, it is possible to decrease a length of a code word, reduce loss probability in a priority part and increase a picture quality of the priority part. Accordingly, the present invention is efficient for transmitting moving picture data in error-existence radio circumstances. <IMAGE></p> |
