<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabling a proper response by a user by reporting a precise operating state prediction considering the operating state of other devices to the user. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a communication part 41; an other device information acquisition part 18 (other device information acquisition means) acquiring device information and operation information of other image forming devices (1/2/4) through the communication part 41; an own device information storage part 17 storing device information and operation information of an own device (first printer device 3); an operating state prediction part 20 (prediction means) predicting at least the operating state of the own device 3 based on the device information and operation information of the other image forming devices (1/2/4) and the device information and operation information of the own device 3; and a prediction result transmitting part 36 (transmitting means) transmitting the prediction result obtained by the operating state prediction part 20 through the communication part 41. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
