<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer system for improving the transfer speed of data without increasing device costs by increasing the capacity of a DPRAM in the data transfer system for transferring data by using the DPRAM provided at one device among two devices. <P>SOLUTION: In the data transfer system A, when transferring data, a device 1 writes data to be transferred and a command regarding the handling of the data in a RAM 12 and a device 2 accesses the RAM 12 to read the data when transferring data from the device 1 to a device 2 without using a memory 14. On the other hand, in data transfer using the memory 14, the device 1 writes a command regarding the handling of data to be transferred in the RAM 12 and performs the DMA transfer of the data to be transferred to the memory 14.
