<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer derived from a naturally occurring substance, which has no limitation on its use, exerts a strong stabilizing effect and can be used for a wide range of pigments, and a pigment preparation which causes no precipitation and hardly fades over time. <P>SOLUTION: In a stabilization method of the pigment, an extract obtained by extracting Clitoria ternatea belonging to Leguminosae with water and/or a water-soluble organic solvent is mixed with the pigment.
