摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with a built-in reading function which can enhance the intensity of reflected light on a printed material without decreasing brightness when displaying an image. <P>SOLUTION: A brightness improving film 62 is detachably inserted into the space between an array substrate 2 and a printed material (A) only when an image is read by an optical sensor 7 on the array substrate 2 of the liquid crystal display device 1. Thus, the intensity of light reflected on the printed material (A) can be enhanced when reading an image without decreasing the brightness at the time of display of the image by thin film transistors 5 on the array substrate 2. The intensity of reflected light reflected on the printed material (A) is enhanced by the brightness improving film 62, and the liquid crystal display device 1 with a built-in reading function not accompanying the decrease of the brightness in displaying the image can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
