<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communication equipment enabling users in remote places to share tactile information, and to have fun with a sense of sharing and a sense of unity even from remote places. <P>SOLUTION: The communication equipment is provided with: an input/output device whose shape can be changed, and whose shape's change can be monitored when a force is added thereto by a user; a communication means for notifying the connected opposite communication equipment of the information on the magnitude of the force added to the input/output device by the user and the addition position of the force; and a shape changing means for changing the shape of the input/output device based on the information received from the opposite communication equipment, that is, the information on the magnitude of the added force and the addition position of the force.
