PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information exchange system capable of properly transmitting environmental conditions of a sender side to a receiver side. SOLUTION: The information exchange system 1a includes a first microphone 101 and a second microphone 102 provided at a predetermined distance from each other for acquiring peripheral sound of a cellular phone 10 on the sender side, a direction identifier 103 for identifying the direction of a sound source of the sound relative to the phone 10 and generating direction identifying information indicating the identified direction, a sound processor 104 for making the sound in a predetermined band of the acquired sound into processed sound, and an information transmitter 105 for associating the direction identifying information generated by the part 103 with the processed sound processed by the processor 104 for sending it to a cellular phone 20 on the receiver side.
