PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging setting apparatus in a remote watching system which allows a user to browse imaging results using a portable terminal capable of browsing taken images of the inside of a house from a remote spot for watching the house, and also to make such operations as imaging at any time, sensor reaction imaging, the execution of reserved imaging, stop, setting, etc. and the switching-on of sensor switch from a remote spot. SOLUTION: Indoor units 1, 2 and 3 connected to an internet 7 have sensor switches for switching on/off operating functions of sensors 13, 23 and 33 and operate upon receipt of imaging settings sent from a server 4, on/off-settings of the sensor switches, and other control instructions. The server 4 permitting a portable terminal 61 with a browsing function to browse via the internet 7 has a request information database for storing various setting contents sent from the portable terminal 61, and sends control instructions according to these setting contents to the indoor units 1, 2 and 3 in either a normal connection mode or a dialup connection mode.
