PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body of equipment made of wood capable of reducing a creak sound caused by contacting the wood constituting the body of equipment with reinforcing means. SOLUTION: A body 10 of equipment for holding a predetermined holding object at a space portion surrounded by a front panel 12 and a rear panel 13 is provided with: a reinforcement frame 40 arranged at the space portion for reinforcing the front panel 12 and the rear panel 13; and a lubricating layer 55 which is arranged on at least one of mutual facing surfaces of the front and rear panels 12, 13 and the reinforcement frame 40 and performs mutual lubrications among these front and rear panels 12, 13 and the reinforcement frame 40.
