PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite clay/polypropylene resin film excellent in gas barrier properties. SOLUTION: The film comprises 40 to 100 pts. wt. polypropylene resin comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polypropylene homopolymer and a copolymer of propylene with at least another unsaturated hydrocarbon monomer, 60 to 0 pt. wt. at least one polycycloolefin resin selected from the group consisting of a polycycloolefin homopolymer, a copolymer of a cycloolefin with at least another unsaturated hydrocarbon monomer and hydrogenates thereof, and 0.5 to 15 pts. wt., per 100 pts. wt., in total, above polypropylene resin and above polycycloolefin resin, clay treated with a 30C or higher tetralakylammonium.
