<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method for a rewritable optical recording medium having a plurality of information recording layers, the method by which a recording mark having a satisfied shape can be formed. <P>SOLUTION: The information recording method is provided for irradiating the optical recording medium 10 with intensity modulated laser beams from the light incident plane of the medium 10 to thereby record information on the optical recording medium 10 which includes at least a laminated LO layer 20 and a L1 layer 30, the LO layer 20 being located to the side of the light incident plane from the L1 layer 30. When a wavelength of the laser beam is expressed as λ and a numerical aperture of an objective lens for converging the laser beams is expressed as NA, λ/NA is set to ≤ 700 nm, and also a cooling period Tc 10 in the case the information is recorded on the LO 20 is set longer than a cooling period Tc 11 in the case the information is recorded on the L1 layer 30, then the information is recorded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
